Called to schedule a service call for my A/C not working. They dispatched someone later, the same day I called. Tech came to my home and inspected the compressor pad. He found a small mouse nest and cleaned it up. Then diagnosed a part replacement (had this part on his truck). But that did not solve the problem. Then, re-scheduled the call to install a printed circuit board/PCB (not on his truck), as it measured dead too. I paid for this service ($344) before tech left - as per his request, in order for them to order the other part and return. Part came in a few days later and scheduled another day/time to install/complete the repair. On this call, tech wanted to see my furnace (to make sure the fan was OK), prior to installing the new PCB. Tech found another small "mouse nest" (was just a gathering of small pieces of insulation that was shaped into a nest) near/on the furnace. But told me they could still fix the compressor/outside. Tech tried to install the new PCB and it immediately shorted/fried the board. At that juncture, he called the office. Next thing I know, tech tells me "I" need to clean the mouse nest before he can do anything else. I spoke to the owner/Bryan, who corroborated the same story as the tech (no service, until mouse nest was cleared).
I then had another company come out a few days later. The tech had NO issues with the mouse nest on/near the furnace and actually cleaned it up. Then, proceeded to complete the repair. I don't like that BAM tried to link the PCB failing/shorting out, to the mouse nest in the furnace. Especially, since the other company came in, cleaned up the mouse nest (stating they couldn't believe BAM used the mouse nest as an excuse to stop/not complete the job) and then completed the repair. I would only add, BAM put me (I'm a senor-citizen) through this during an extended heat-wave. I feel they "punished me" for having these mouse nests and tried to use that against me, for not completing the job they started. I believe the tech for BAM didn't know what he was doing and tried to guess what the problem was, rather than test ALL the internal parts - like the new company did. I will never use BAM again and if I could have used zero-stars, I would have. They, basically, robbed me of $344.
Edit, from BAM-owner response - You/your company chose to STOP the work because of a SMALL mouse nest on/around my furnace. It was in no way involved within the furnace AT ALL. The other company told me, after cleanup, it would NOT affect the running of the unit in any way and/or cause any parts to short out. The part [not the wiring] shorted because your technician installed it incorrectly. The new company cleaned/removed the nest [it half-filled a grocery-bag, btw] and completed the repair. I went to them because you gave me NO choice, stating you would not complete the service without remediation of the nest. By you implying the other company acted dangerously by cleaning a small mouse nest and then completing the repair and by you also blaming said nest for shorting out a part, is gross malpractice on your part and just not correct and/or professional, and the primary reason I had someone else compete the repair. There is NO way that small nest had ANYTHING to do with the shorted out part. For the record, any previous service calls I had by your company, have NOTHING to do with this most recent one.

If you are looking for a reliable contractor who will work with you on a project, B. A. Morrison is for you. They put in a new heat pump/AC system with a HEPA filter system for our whole house. They recommended a heat pump over a traditional furnace and AC since we have solar. It saves us money, works great, and during all the wildfires we were able to breathe clean air! They replaced our ducts as well. They cleaned up well afterwards. Not the cheapest contractor, but reliable, trustworthy, and good quality work!

Be mindful of their initial estimate being accurate and they do not call last minute charging more.
